Import all your investment accounts from personal finance programs with a QIF file, or from your brokerage with a CSV, QFX, or OFX file import. You can also read a portfolio from web sites such as Google Finance. Stock Portfolio Wizard can import all your investment accounts, and automatically prepare informative charts. It will also update historical prices online.
The Wizard Chart graphically shows your investment performance, and you can compare it to indexes such as Dow Jones, S&P 500, and the Nasdaq. You can overlay in that with the dollar value of your portfolio, the amount you have invested, and your tax basis to see your profits. A few clicks will show graphs of returns and performance, comparing your accounts to indexes, and graph the performance of individual securities. You can also select the number of years of data to show, and zoom in on the charts.
The ROI calculator is fully automatic, and will calculate your return on investment, either by calendar year, or over a number of years.
Stock Portfolio Wizard handles multiple accounts, and can group accounts into a single report. For example, if you have changed brokerages, Stock Portfolio Wizard spans both accounts.
It will automatically classify your investments by type (Large Growth, China Stocks, etc.) and then group those classifications in basic asset classes (Stocks, Bonds, Foreign Stocks, Real Estate, etc.)
Stock Portfolio Wizard reads QIF export files and can import all your investment accounts in a single step. It automatically generates a summary of your holdings and calculates asset allocation.
Stock Portfolio Wizard's advanced rebalancing calculator will not just show you the basic buys and sells, but highlights exactly how much each position is out of balance, and what needs to change. It looks up current price quotes to calculate how many shares to buy or sell. And its flexible - you can set minimum thresholds, set amounts to override the calculator, and still keep everything in balance.
